Introducing Stichting Net Impact Amsterdam

A milestone for greater impact

We are happy to announce that, after several COVID lockdown related delays, Stichting Net Impact Amsterdam is now officially live.

In 2019, the Net Impact Amsterdam leadership team, under consultation of the advisory board and founding member council, decided that registering as a formal non-for-profit organisation was the natural next step to be able to better serve our members and mission.

Since Net Impact Amsterdam was founded in 2018, we have functioned as an informal organisation, managed and supported exclusively by volunteers and goodwill. While remaining a volunteer-led initiative, Stichting Net Impact Amsterdam is expected to be able to facilitate richer and more frequent impact leadership and learning programmes for our members to drive lasting positive change.

The next chapter of Net Impact Amsterdam will prioritise quality over quantity, dialogue over sending, and solutions over challenges.

Over the last two years, we’ve seen exciting interest and participation in the network from a diverse range of sustainability-focused professionals across sectors and career phases. Currently, we have nearly 300 active members from various walks of life: those just beginning to think about a career in impact, all the way to long-time sustainability veterans, and young professionals who will settle for nothing less.

Looking back and ahead, we must give huge thanks to our amazing volunteer team for all their hard work and dedication this past year! They have been working day-in and day-out to keep Net Impact Amsterdam and all its members and supporters moving towards greater positive impact. We welcome you to join us in thanking them — the team’s LinkedIn details are here.

I am thrilled to see Net Impact Amsterdam reach this momentous milestone. It is the culmination of countless discussions, phone calls and background research and is a testament of what our team can achieve despite challenging circumstances. This will mark the beginning of many new and exciting projects to come to empower our members to become change makers in their careers!
