Impact From Home #26 | How data can power cleaner electricity
July 2 @ 12:00 - 12:45 CEST
The ‘Impact From Home’ virtual interview series
We’re all stuck at home, but the pursuit for positive impact continues!
Net Impact Amsterdam takes to the internet to introduce you to pioneering impact and sustainability professionals. Join us for virtual conversations via Zoom for the latest perspectives and insights to help you drive your impact mission forward, even from home.
The global economy is in the midst of the most profound transformation in history. The move to a low-carbon future will require insights about the climate impact of every decision we make. Tomorrow’s mission is to power this transition by getting the world to understand and reduce their carbon footprint.
Tomorrow is a tech start-up, founded in 2016, and electricityMap is it’s flagship offering. It calculates the carbon intensity of energy production across the world and is an open source project powered by its active community. It is used by Google to predict the best data centre and time for computations in order to minimise environmental impact.
Join us to learn about electricityMap, Tomorrow and about how tech can play an instrumental role in transitioning to a green economy.
This session will be hosted by Michael Hogenboom, Sustainability Lead for Solution Engineering at Celonis.
This event is based on Zoom and will be recorded. Please join with your cameras on and curiosity high. We want this to be an interactive and open conversation, so be ready to ask questions!
Member gatherings in the age of COVID
To continue networking events while social distancing, we introduced the ‘Impact From Home’ virtual interview series. Every other Friday at noon, we invite different local impact thought leaders for a guided conversation with small groups of our members. Watch our favorites sessions from the year here
