Impact Strategy – Pragmatism vs Idealism

Join us for an interactive and thought-provoking event inspired by the YouTube show Middle Ground. We will be bring together two diverse panels to discuss loaded questions on sustainability and its solutions. The first panel features sustainability experts, researchers, and consultants, while the second panel is made up of startup founders, both sustainability-driven and non-sustainability-driven. Both panels will challenge, agree or disagree on the questions.
Join us for an evening of learning, engagement, and lively debate followed by a short introduction to the uPledge campaign “Plant A Seed” and a session of drinks and networking! The location is provided by Startupbootcamp.
Examples of the type of questions that will be asked by the moderator:
- How should sustainable development be balanced against economic growth? Can both be achieved simultaneously?
- Will sustainability be driven by large corporations or do we need grassroots efforts to drive meaningful change?
- Will it be the pragmatists or idealists that truly change the world?
uPledge will wrap up the event by sharing how impact investing could be the intersection between economic growth and the driver for meeting diverse impact goals with an introduction to our Plant A Seed Campaign and for attendees to see what kind of startups we are enrolling on the form.
