Frank Holleman, Co-Founder of Fork Ranger, a start-up to turn research about climate change and food into practical tips and recipes, joins us to answer two of your toughest questions: What can I do about climate change? & What’s for dinner? Fork Ranger translates climate science into stories and recipes so everyone can be part of the solution. Their mission is to use food as starting domino for systematic change. He will share:

Combating food waste in Amsterdam

Instock’s chefs create delicious meals with products that are available at that time, or better said: that are ‘in stock’. Every week Instock saves about 2000 kilos of food by serving only what is in season or what would have been wasted.

Nearly one-third of all food production is wasted, and Instock is actively finding ways to avoid this. For example, that brown banana becomes banana ice cream and that imperfect sprout becomes kimchi. Instock gives life to wasted foods.
