Shaping a Sustainable Future – The Storytelling Behind Sustainable Action

June 19 @ 18:00 - 20:30 CEST

Join this event to hear stories from various NGOs on WHAT actions they take and HOW they tell their stories to make a lasting impact.

In a world increasingly shaped by data, policies, and scientific reports, storytelling remains one of the most powerful tools for driving sustainable change. While facts inform, stories inspire. They humanize complex issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequality, making them relatable and emotionally resonant. Storytelling bridges the gap between knowledge and action by connecting people to the real-world impacts of unsustainable practices—and the hope embedded in sustainable solutions.

Net Impact Amsterdam proudly welcomes you to an inspiring gathering of sustainability professionals, each showcasing their unique appraoch to driving positive change and leveraging the power of storytelling to do so.

Mireille Wille (Think Big Act Now) will present her take on how to bring the topic of climate change closer to people’s minds and hearts by focusing on the individual impact that everyone can have.

Prunelle Girardeau (Imagine 5) will share a story from the Imagine5’s magazine and speak to the importance of storytelling that fuels imagination and hope.

Bram Karst (Greenpeace) will take us behind the scenes of Greenpeace’s aviation campaign, sharing how it has evolved over the years and the impact it continues to make.

After the presentations, join us for a dynamic reflection session where speakers will dive deeper into the storytelling considerations behind their messages.

Member gatherings in the age of COVID

To continue networking events while social distancing, we introduced the ‘Impact From Home’ virtual interview series. Every other Friday at noon, we invite different local impact thought leaders for a guided conversation with small groups of our members.  Watch our favorites sessions from the year here
